I'll just need you
so when people ask me what I need I used to say nothing, it's true and I would get the strangest looks as if I didn't have a clue I don't pretend to understand but I'll tell you what I'll do if everybody needs something I'll just need you some people have religion with a father in the sky maybe their parents weren't enough maybe to get and keep them high some people have addiction in some physical thing maybe what's inside isn't enough to keep happiness happening I don't really understand it but that doesn't mean it's wrong everybody's got a way of living just like everybody's got a song and so for me deep inside love keeps me happy and alive and the caring and the sharing makes this life a wonderful ride and since you've come to me everything has become two twice as happy twice and good everything is better with you so when people ask me what I need I used to say nothing, it's true and I would get the strangest looks as if I didn't have a clue I don't pretend to understand but I'll tell you what I'll do if everybody needs something I'll just need you
